Change your Clock, Change your Batteries

10/31/2019

On November 3, it will be time to turn your clocks back an hour for daylight savings. This is a good time to check your smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detectors, change the batteries, and make sure they are in working order. The National Fire Protection Association reports that 71% of smoke alarms which failed to operate had missing, disconnected or dead batteries. Please take this simple and life-saving step to make sure your home and your family are safe!

NEED SMOKE ALARMS INSTALLED? Contact the American Red Cross WV Region to request a smoke alarm installation. Call 1-844-216-8286 or visit their Home Fire Campaign website.
