West Virginia DHHR reports 21 new COVID-19 related deaths; total now 1,284
Excerpt: “DHHR also reports that 24,264 COVID-19 cases are active. The agency reports the number of West Virginians hospitalized for the disease is 761, up from 720 reported Monday.
The number of patients being treated in an intensive care unit is 213, up from 200 reported Monday. The number of patients on ventilators is 98, up from 91 reported Monday. Both are a new record for that metric.
On the County Alert System, 40 counties are in red, 13 are orange, one is in gold and one county is green. There are no counties in yellow.”
