• Concerns mount over FEMA staff reductions (Federal News Network) - reports that a December email included a table implementing a 50 percent overall reduction to FEMA's total workforce of 23,000, including a 41 percent reduction to the disaster full-time workforce, which includes CORE staff. “This is not a targeted workforce reduction – this is using a sledgehammer when you should be using a scalpel," said one current FEMA supervisor.
