WV Daily COVID Update & Stats for September 22, 2022 (WV DHHR) - there are currently 1,659 active COVID-19 cases statewide. There have been three deaths reported since 9/21/2022, with a total of 7,382 deaths attributed to COVID-19. DHHR has confirmed the deaths of a 72-year old male from Kanawha County, a 66-year old male from Monongalia County, and a 90-year old female from Berkeley County.
