Disaster Recovery & Assistance

• FEMA staff coming to West Virginia neighborhoods to provide assistance to those affected by April storms (WTRF) - Residents of Boone, Cabell, Fayette, Kanawha, Lincoln, Marshall, Nicholas, Ohio, Putnam, Wayne, and Wetzel counties are eligible to apply for assistance from FEMA to help with costs from damage and losses caused by the April 2-6, 2024 storms. Residents are urged to apply by Monday, July 22, 2024.​

Disaster Declaration

• Biden Administration approved a major disaster declaration for West Virginia's April 11-12 Storms (Time Leader) - Counties covered include: Boone, Brooke, Doddridge, Gilmer, Hancock, Lincoln, Marshall, Ohio, Tyler and Wetzel. That was the second set of storms that damaged properties in those areas in about a two-week span. A disaster declaration for the storms from April 2-6 was declared last week.
