The theme for week three of National Preparedness Month is Check Your Coverage. Consider buying or reviewing insurance coverage that protects you, your family or business

during a disaster.  Review all of your insurance policies to make sure you’re covered against floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, or high winds in hurricane-prone areas.  

• Insurance is the first line of defense; check your insurance coverage and review the Document and Insure Property guide.
• Most homeowners' and renters' insurance does not cover flood damage. Learn more about flood insurance at Floodsmart.gov #PrepareNow #FloodSmart.
• Safeguard Critical Documents and Valuables. Collect and protect photo ID, medical records, bank and insurance information, etc. Store them in a waterproof and fireproof container.
