About ReadyWV
Anything can happen at any time. Being ready ahead of a disaster is the most critical action you can take to protect yourself and the things that matter most: your family, your home, and your pets. During a widespread disaster, first responders may not be able to get to you right away, so you will need to be able to rely on yourself.
Through funding from the West Virginia Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and coordination with Volunteer West Virginia, ReadyWV is a communications campaign and online resource with tools to help West Virginians know what to do before, during, and after an emergency. ReadyWV is the preparedness education and outreach initiative of Volunteer West Virginia's Disaster Services Program.
This site provides individuals, families, businesses and local communities in West Virginia with easy access to basic information on how to prepare for emergencies, as well as information on local and statewide disaster preparedness trainings and events. Some of the resources you will find on our website include preparedness checklists, family emergency plan templates, youth preparedness materials, pet preparedness information and much more.
