WV Daily COVID Update & Stats for October 17, 2022 (WV DHHR) – There have been six deaths reported since Friday's (10/14/22) report, with a total of 7,476 deaths attributed to COVID-19. There are currently 915 active COVID-19 cases statewide. DHHR has confirmed the deaths of a 73-year old female from Kanawha County, an 83-year old male from Wood County, an 84-year old male from Pendleton County, a 78-year old male from Wood County, a 65-year old female from Greenbrier County, and a 79-year old female from Boone County.
