WV Daily COVID Update & Stats for March 4, 2022 (WV DHHR) - There have been 13 deaths reported since the last report (3/3/2022), with a total of 6,440 deaths attributed to COVID-19. There are currently 2,088 active COVID-19 cases statewide. DHHR has confirmed the deaths of a 67-year old male from Mercer County, a 66-year old male from Berkeley County, a 50-year old female from Fayette County, a 69-year old female from Marion County, a 79-year old female from Logan County, a 76-year old male from Cabell County, a 66-year old male from Upshur County, a 59-year old female from Preston County, a 71-year old female from Berkeley County, a 66-year old female from Upshur County, an 86-year old female from Marion County, an 89-year old female from Logan County, and a 64-year old male from Logan County.

“Each death reported is a solemn reminder of the seriousness of this disease,” said Bill J. Crouch, DHHR Cabinet Secretary. “Together, we can end transmission of this deadly virus by choosing to be vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.”
