WV COVID weekly update for August 9, 2023 (WV DHHR) – There have been four deaths reported since last week's dashboard update, with a total of 8,167 deaths attributed to COVID-19. DHHR has confirmed the deaths of an 82-year old male from Cabell County, a 94-year old male from Brooke County, a 66-year old female from Kanawha County, and a 61-year old male from Monongalia County.
