WV Daily COVID Update & Stats for August 8, 2022 (WV DHHR) – there are currently 3,057 active COVID-19 cases statewide. There have been four deaths reported since the last report, with a total of 7,188 deaths attributed to COVID-19. D

DHHR has confirmed the deaths of a 74-year old male from Fayette County, an 82-year old female from Mason County, a 51-year old female from Boone County, and a 59-year old female from Putnam County.
