• DOGE targets a community service program (AmeriCorps) in its latest cost-cutting effort – (Associated Press)
• What to Know About AmeriCorps NCCC, the Trump Administration's Latest DOGE Target  (Time) – also see Washington Post  -  AmeriCorps has a partnership with FEMA called FEMA Corps which sends young adults to help with disaster recovery projects across the U.S. Over the last year, volunteers responded to tornadoes and flooding in Iowa, hurricane damage in North Carolina and wildfires in California, among other natural disasters. FEMA Corps members were escorted out of the agency's headquarters in Washington on Tuesday and teams active in the field were ordered to go home.
