Mental Health 1st Aid Course

United Way of Central West Virginia Presents:

Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This 8-hour training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to appropriate care. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of training. The course educator will be Dr. Michelle Easton, Dean of students at the University of Charleston School of Pharmacy.
 
Course FEE & logistics
The training is $45 per person for all materials used during the course. This location is universally accessible. Parking is free in our front lot for all attendees. Lunch will be provided. Checks can be made payable to the United Way of Central WV. Payments by credit card will also be accepted over the phone at 304-340-3500.
