...WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT WEDNESDAY...

* LOCATIONS...Central and Northern West Virginia mountains.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...6 to 10 inches.

* TIMING...Tonight through early Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...The heavy snow will make many roads impassable and
  may produce widespread power outages due to the weight of the
  snow on tree limbs and power lines. Strong winds will lead to
  blowing snow, reduced visibility, and additional power
  outages.

* WINDS...Northwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* VISIBILITIES...Down to 1/2 mile at times.

* TEMPERATURES...7 to 32 above.

* HAZARD TYPES...Heavy snow and blowing snow.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel...keep an extra flashlight...
food...and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
